Supermodel at 47: Julia Roberts lands Givenchy campaign
Givenchy has chosen Julia Roberts as the face of their Spring 2015 campaign.
The first campaign shot is a black and white picture which shows the 47-ear old actress in a very elegant tuxedo. Creative director Riccardo Tisci chose her because “she represents such a mature woman”. He said that people see her not only as a big star, but also as a beautiful, talented and unpretentious woman.
When interviewed by Yahoo Style, Julia Roberts answered with her usual mix of wit and slight self-deprecation and although she said that she can hardly believe to have become a supermodel at almost 50, she really likes the clothes she wore during the shoot and said that she would have chosen each of the items for herself.
With her characteristic candour, she said that she’s not too much into promoting herself as all her time is taken up by her family and that at the end of the day she’s really happy to be able to spend so much time with her kids.
Without a doubt, Julia Roberts is still America’s Sweetheart!
